"Oh. Oh, damn. Ami. Come here. I need. Come kiss me." Those pretty hands had lost all dexterity, just pulling on him clumsily.

"Uh-huh." He crawled up, brought their lips together as he got where he was going, losing himself in the long, lazy kiss.

Hands cupping his head, Dee kissed him, long and slow and sloppy, just curling one leg around his hip, the inner thigh brushing his cock.

Mmm... soft. Hot. A bright blue, deep and rich. Fine.

"I can hear you," Dee said when they broke to breathe. "In my head. It's like I'll never worry about it getting too quiet with you."

He nodded, the words making perfect sense. No one with that much color, that much heat, would need silence.

"Man, I...when I was on the road? It was bad."

"Then it's good you're here. I've been waiting. Working." His hands couldn't stop moving, stop drawing on Dee's skin.

He thought Dee must feel the same, because those long fingers stroked his ribs like guitar strings.

One kiss melted into another and another, his hips rocking slowly, just enjoying the sensation of being against Dee's skin.

Those fingers finally slid down to find his cock, Dee making a happy damned noise, stroking him.

"Mmm. Playing me." He drew a circle around Dee's nipple, a spiral along the ribcage.

"Painting me. I like it." Yeah, he could see how Dee liked it, that nipple drawing up for him, hard as anything.

His lips were drawn to it, the tip of his tongue flicking over the tip, teasing, tempting. Tasting. Yeah, he liked the tasting.

"Mhn. I. Oh." Dee just writhed for him, looking so hot, tasting so damned good. The man was an addiction.

He tried biting a little, teeth working the skin, making the man just sing for him. Yeah. Yeah, pretty man. Just like that.

The song went all the way through him, vibrating bright cobalt and sweet violet, all streaks and crazy lines. Dee touched him red, adding a splash there of hands and short nails and teeth.

His grunt answered that song, his cock trying to paint Dee's hands, belly, hip. Oh, soon. Soon and then he'd find his brushes. When he could think. Damn.

"Come on, Ami. Come on." It sounded like Dee knew, that song going rough, growling, that hand working him fast.

"Yeah..." He lifted his head, gasping as he shot, as he bucked and sprayed pure heat over Dee's wrist and arm.

"Oh, man. I tried to drown you out on the road...I didn't want to, but it was making me crazy. Not even the good shit worked, though. And my doctor is peeved." He got a wry grin before Dee lifted the hand he'd just come on and licked it clean.

"Well, you're here now. No drowning. Just feeling." Doctors were strange birds, truly.

"Yeah. Save me from myself, why don't you?" Dee laughed, the sound almost raw, and glomped onto him, holding tight.

"Mmhmm. Save us from what's out there." He found himself growling, rumbling softly as he wrapped around Dee, fingers searching for little spots of stress.

"Good. Good." Patting him a little too hard, Dee nuzzled his skin before kissing and pulling away. "Paint me?"

"God, yes." Yes. Yes, now. That would be. Yes. He nodded, rolling and tugging them both across the floor to the mattress he'd bought, just for this. "It's got plastic underneath the sheet and I have furs for later and satins. For later."

Amethyst crawled to the little rolling table, started pulling out tubes and brushes, clicking on the stereo again, but lower, softer, because Dee's real voice was here, live. Better.

Dee hummed along from the mattress, watching him, the sound of that rough voice sending shivers down his spine.

"I'm going to set the camera up to take pictures randomly. I don't want to stop or worry about that. I just want to paint you." Just needed to paint him.

"Whatever works, luv." Stretching, Dee tempted him, muscles sliding and shifting.

He dipped his fingers in a cadmium red, reaching for Dee's ankle and just sliding right up the calf, his wet fingers dragging on the little hairs, staining the pale skin. Yes. Yes, just like that.

Dee shuddered, but stilled right away, watching him intently. So intense, that stare, laser bright.

It almost derailed him, almost, but the siren call of color on skin, that pulled him in, his fingers feathering out the color, gathering some tangerine and some cobalt blue as he followed Dee's song.

Now Dee sang for him out loud, not just humming, but singing right along with the cd, growling like a big cat.

"Oh. That's." He nodded, one hand reaching for a brush and dipping it into the white base, the other hand creating feathers and fires and heavy dots with the bass.

Yes. Perfect. Now. Yellows with the white from the brush streaking through.

"Damn. Damn, Ami." The song didn't even break as Dee cursed. It was like the song begged for it.

"Yes. Just sing. I need to hear you." He moaned as his braid hit Dee's thigh, dragging through the paint, adding him to the paint.

"Uh-huh. 'Kay." The song soared, Dee's body starting to twist and pull, the paint smearing as Dee sang for him.

Amethyst lost himself in them, his hands dragging up along Dee's belly, one hand circling left, the other circling right.

Every move he made had a counterpoint, a harmony to the melody, Dee twisting up and down, hands sliding on the mattress.

Amethyst used his fan brush to work Dee's cock, a tiny single-haired brush to draw sigils along the head in a bright violet.

"Fuck!" The word came as all but a shout, Dee moving, hips starting to hump up and up.

"Yeah. It's like that. Fucking. Touching. You're art, lovely man. Music and fucking and art."

Dee's balls were done in reds and yellows, vital, alive.

Moaning, Dee twisted, giving him more skin, the insides of those long thighs, the backs of them.

Water dripped down the inside of one, a winged demon clawed up the back of the other, a sunrise bursting over one hip. Beautiful. Just beautiful.

"You. Oh, Ami. You're making me wonderful." Dee touched his hand as he worked, like the man was strumming strings.

"Making your music, yeah? This is you." He leaned in, lips brushing Dee's nipple, right by the man's heart.

"Yeah. God, you hear me. See me. I, oh, fuck." Dee held him there, all but sobbing for him.

"Yes. Yes. I have you." He reached up, painting streaks on Dee's jaw, floating on the colors exploding in his mind as Dee let go. "Sing."

Thrashing, Dee sang for him, every stroke of his brush eliciting a shiver, a moan, a soaring high note. That lean body just rolled and flexed, adding to the art, making it harder and easier to paint.

The music soared, so loud, so bright as he painted streaks in the hair under Dee's arms, then painted each finger, bringing them to his own skin.

"Yes." That touch smeared him purple and orange, cream and yellow. Somehow it all worked, making his chest look triumphant, tribal.

The sheets were streaked with them, the tips of his hair a bright orange, Dee's balls painting his cock.

Finally his brushes went flying as Dee slapped them away, crawling on top of him to kiss him hard and deep, their mouths slick with it, and with their sweat. They were just steaming up the place.

His fingers dug in, sliding through the paint to dig in, hold Dee so they could move, shift, slam together, sound and color crashing all around them.

They strained, panting, heaving, the violence of it enough to stun him except he knew it would be there, had known it the moment he'd seen Dee.

They needed this. Needed now. Needed somewhere to. To. To happen. He laughed, sound pushing into Dee's mouth, nails sliding down Dee's spine.

"Mmmmhmmm." That was pure agreement, pure happiness. He could feel it to his toes.

The intensity couldn't last, any more than the music could, and he bit down on Dee's bottom lip, wanting to know Dee was with him.

Grunting, Dee clawed his hips, yanking him close, groaning hard and long as that cock twitched and jerked against him.

That sound was just what he needed, the world going bright and fuchsia behind his eyelids, spunk spraying between them in a rush.

The only sound after was their harsh breath. He almost thought Dee might have passed out he was so still, lashes heavy on his pale cheeks.

The only thing to do was hold on, rock them together and breathe.

Finally Dee stirred, blue eyes blinking open to meet his. "Hey."

  "Hey. Better?"

"Yeah." Slurring a little, Dee squeezed him tight. "S'good."

"Mmhmm." He nodded, licked the curve of Dee's bottom lip. "Sleep. Then we'll soak. Get clean."

"'Kay. And eat. I haven't had much but cigarettes." He got another kiss, oddly gentle, definitely thankful. Then Dee was just gone, snoring already.

Eating was good. He was a fan. When he remembered. Mostly.

Amethyst hummed, curling around and holding on.

  They'd worry about that after.

The show had gone...well. Not well. His voice was blown and the steroid shots were just not working as well anymore. He had a huge knot in his thigh where they'd started putting them when his hip started bruising too much.

  God, he needed a drink.

The crowd hadn't seemed to notice. The lights and sound and fireworks and shit made them crazy, but instead of feeding on it, tonight it had drained him.

He staggered back toward the bus, needing to sit and hang his head and maybe open a bottle of Jack, just to get the night to stop. His back was killing him, his kidneys making themselves known all over the place, and Daniel wondered idly if he'd be pissing blood again tonight.

The steps seemed endlessly steep, but he made it, collapsing on the floor of the bus right inside and just sitting there.

"Oh, lovely. What have they done to you?" The voice was familiar and concerned, just coming out of the shadows.

Blinking, Daniel looked up, staring, unable to believe that voice was there. Really. No way was that his Ami. They were in...Akron? Erie?

The long hands appeared before the near-black eyes did, Ami scooping him up and holding him close, the long hair surrounding him.

Oh. Oh fuck. Oh god. It was Ami. Seeing him like this. Daniel tried to pull away, needing to crawl to the bathroom or into the bottle or something.

"No." Ami growled, held him tighter. "No more. You need now."

"I. Oh. I just couldn't. It's been weeks and weeks." Too long since he'd had his Ami fix. Daniel nuzzled in, listening to Ami's heart beat.

"Too long. I saw you on a TV while I was walking down the street. You needed; it made you scream." Ami carried them toward the little bathroom, refusing to let him go.

As soon as Ami let him down on the cool linoleum floor he grabbed the toilet and let it fly, heaving until he was exhausted.

"I'm going to take you home." The water started, the steam slowly filling the air. Ami stripped him, talking aimlessly, refusing to stop touching him, fingers sliding over his skin.

He kind of...clung. Turning, Daniel grabbed Ami's leg and held on, leaning. God he was...oh god. It was good.

"Into the water." Ami lifted his chin, eyes looking at his face. "That paint? Not mine."

"No. I needed it, though." Daniel licked his lips and whispered. "Camouflage."

Ami nodded, finger sliding over his cheek. "I know, but I'm here now. I'm here to bring you back."

"Back." The little tiles felt slick, actually good, even though he shivered. "How did you...you saw me on TV?"

"I couldn't rest. I heard you everywhere. I walked and there was a store, a window, your face over and over and over and I could see you needed me." Ami started washing him, fingers firm and sure against him.

"I did. I needed you a long time ago, before I met you. Did you paint?" His mind just kept wandering, Ami's touch so soothing, so good.

"I painted as long as I could, then I stopped. I couldn't rest. Couldn't light."

"Light. Oh, you are." He was babbling, he knew it, pressing kisses to any part of Amethyst he could find. His good luck charm. His Ami.

"Mmhmm. Sing, lovely. Let it out so you can have food, so you can sleep." Those fingers started pushing into his hair, massaging his scalp, digging in and making him feel it.

He moaned, lolling back against the little fiberglass stall, letting Ami take care of him. Someday he'd return the favor. Someday when the itch under his skin faded.

"That's right, sing for me. You have to let it go, let it all out for me." His hair was rinsed, then his back cleaned, his ass, his legs.

All of his songs had seemed dried up. Now he felt them again, and he sang, hoarse, his throat tearing on every chorus, but needing it out, in the air.

Ami helped, kneeling at his feet and loving him, fingers constantly moving, lips drinking the water from him.

"Kiss me." That was what he needed. He needed that song they made together.

Ami nodded, stood and just pushed right against him, covering him with that strong body, pulling him down into a slow, deep kiss. Oh.

Daniel wrapped around him, kissing back so hard their teeth clacked. Oh, he could feel. The itch was easing already.

Ami's hands pushed down his arms, almost pulling at the skin, pushing into his muscles. Marking him. Painting him with bruises.

It didn't matter as long as Ami painted him. Daniel moaned, rubbing everywhere he could, loving the feeling of those long fingers on him.

"My Dee." Ami didn't play, fingers pushing inside his body, then disappearing and circling his balls.

"Yours. God, I missed..." How could he miss anything that he'd only known such a short time? But he had. His sweet, Amethyst man. Oh. The amethyst behind Ami's balls. Daniel went looking for it, hands slipping on the wet skin.

Ami moaned, chuckled against his skin, fingers working his cock. "You remember."

"Of course I do." There. His fingers found the little tattoo, stroking and pushing like he was rubbing a good luck charm.

"Good." The word could have been for his touch, for remembering, or both. Not that it mattered, because they both worked.

Daniel hummed some more, letting his wrist rub the heavy balls. "I love your skin. It's like really good jazz."

Ami turned the water off. "Bed. So you don't fall, so I don't. Where is it?"

"I. In the back." Without the percussion of the water falling his song seemed oddly quiet.

"Okay." Ami met his eyes, staring, sure. "Show me. We'll make it ours, make it right."

"Okay, yeah." His legs trembled like a baby's as he led Ami to the back of the bus, his little room there closed off and smelling like smoke.

Ami clucked, opening the sliding windows first thing. "You can't sing if you can't breathe."

"I just couldn't sleep." It sounded stupid now, smoking cigarettes and watching SpongeBob at two a.m.

Ami didn't laugh, just nodded, so serious. "Me either. I missed you."

He teetered, then sort of tossed himself at Ami, toppling them to the bed. "I'll sleep like a baby tonight."

"Yes. After you sing and eat. Where is the bus going?" Ami didn't really sound like he cared, truly.

"I don't know. I think. We're in um. Oh hell, where are we?"

"Somewhere with an airport." Ami winked, hands sliding down his spine. "A little airport."

"You're no help." His hands just kept sliding up and down Ami's back, over the long thighs, the lean hips. Playing his song on that skin.

"I don't believe that." Ami's hair dragged over his skin, petting him. "I'm helping right now."

"You are." Surging up, he kissed Ami hard, loving on him, needing that mouth and tongue and the taste and feel and all of it, singing like crazy.

Ami met him, head-on, hands pushing him down into the mattress, hips rolling, their cocks sliding together.

He just felt. Just lost himself, this time in a good way. Ami was an addiction that would never hurt him. Never.

Everything about Ami encouraged him, pushed him, healed shit in him. Ami suck
ed and licked and bit and fucking drove him crazy.

When he came it was like...like the crescendo of a really good symphony, like something some insane Russian wrote with tons of false stops and an ending so strong you were wrung out and exhausted afterward.

"Better. Much better." Ami scooted down, cleaned his belly with that soft, hot tongue.
